Welcome to the WatchRadar mobile application ("App").
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data of users of the WatchRadar application, developed by Batuhan Sefer ("Developer"), is collected, processed, stored, and protected.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2.DATA COLLECTED
WatchRadar collects the following types of data to provide its services:

- •Date of birth (for age verification)
- •Profile photo (optional)
- •Information provided by Apple when using Sign in with Apple
2.2 Usage & Content Data
- •Watchlists and watch history
- •Ratings and reviews

- •In-app interactions
2.3 Social Feature Data
- •Friend connections
- •In-app messaging
- •Likes and shares
2.4 AI Data
- •Queries made with Film Guru
Note: Chat history is not stored on servers and does not contain personal data.
2.5 Technical & Device Data
- •Device type and operating system
- •App version and performance data
- •Crash and error logs
- •Approximate location (country/region level)
2.6 Advertising & Analytics Data
- •Advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID)
- •Ad impression and click data
- •App usage statistics
3.DATA USAGE PURPOSES
Collected data is used for the following purposes:
- •Account creation and management
- •Operating app features
- •Providing personalized content and recommendations
- •Enabling social features
- •Displaying ads via Google AdMob
- •Performance analysis and error detection
- •Security and fulfilling legal obligations
4.DATA SHARING
User data is not sold and is not shared with third parties except in the following cases:
Service Providers
- •Google Firebase – authentication, database, analytics
- •Google AdMob – advertising services
- •Google Gemini API – AI recommendations – anonymous queries
- •TMDB API – movie & TV show information
- •Apple – Sign in with Apple
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Legal Obligations
Data may be shared with authorities when required by law or for public safety.
5.DATA SECURITY
- ✓Data transmission is protected with SSL/TLS
- ✓Passwords are securely hashed
- ✓Firebase and Google Cloud security infrastructure is used
- ✓Technical and administrative measures are taken against unauthorized access
In case of a data breach, users will be notified within legal timeframes.
6.DATA RETENTION & DELETION
- •Data is retained while the account is active
- •Data is deleted within 30 days after account deletion request
- •Analytics data is anonymized and retained
Account Deletion
Can be done from within the app via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
7.COOKIES & SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
WatchRadar is a mobile application and does not use web cookies. Local storage, device identifiers, and Firebase SDKs may be used.
Advertising and tracking preferences can be managed from device settings.
8.INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
Data may be processed on servers outside your country due to Google infrastructure. Transfers are made in compliance with GDPR and international data protection standards.
9.CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
WatchRadar is not designed for users under 13 years of age. Data from this age group is not knowingly collected.
10.USER RIGHTS
Users have the following rights:

11.ADVERTISING & TRACKING PREFERENCES
- •Complies with Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) rules

Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via in-app notification or email.
