WATCHRADAR PRIVACY POLICY

1.INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the WatchRadar mobile application (the 'App').
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data of users of the WatchRadar application, developed by Batuhan Sefer ('Developer'), is collected, processed, stored, and protected. WatchRadar does NOT track users across apps or websites, does NOT use advertising identifiers (IDFA), and does NOT contain any third-party advertising SDK.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2.DATA WE COLLECT
WatchRadar collects only the minimum data necessary to provide its services:
2.1 Account Information
- •Email address (for account creation and login via Firebase Authentication)
- •Display name (for user profile)
- •Information provided by Apple when using Sign in with Apple
2.2 App Usage Data (stored in our own database, not shared with third parties)
- •Watchlists, Radar lists, and watch history
- •Ratings and reviews
- •Forum posts and chat messages
- •In-app interactions and preferences
2.3 Technical Data (collected automatically)
- •Crash reports and error logs (Firebase Crashlytics)
- •App performance data (Firebase Performance)
- •Device type and operating system version
- •App version
3.DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
WatchRadar explicitly does NOT collect the following:
- ✕Phone number
- ✕Physical address
- ✕Precise or approximate location
- ✕Advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID)
- ✕Photos, videos, or media from your device
- ✕Email or message content outside the app
- ✕Contacts or address book data
- ✕Health, fitness, or biometric data
- ✕Financial or payment card information (payments are handled entirely by Apple/Google)
4.NO TRACKING
WatchRadar does NOT perform any form of user tracking:
- ✓We do NOT use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework because we do not track users
- ✓We do NOT use IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) or any advertising identifier
- ✓We do NOT have any third-party advertising SDK (no Google Ads, Meta SDK, AppsFlyer, or similar)
- ✓We do NOT share any data with third parties for advertising or cross-app tracking purposes
- ✓We do NOT build advertising profiles about our users
5.HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
Collected data is used solely for the following purposes:
- •Account creation, authentication, and management
- •Providing and operating core app features (watchlists, recommendations, social features)
- •Personalizing content and movie/TV show recommendations
- •Managing subscriptions via RevenueCat
- •Sending push notifications (with your permission, via Expo Push Notifications)
- •Detecting and fixing crashes and performance issues
- •Ensuring security and fulfilling legal obligations
6.DATA SHARING
Your data is never sold. We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. Data is only processed by the following service providers to operate the app:
Service Providers
- •Google Firebase – authentication (Firebase Auth), database (Firestore), crash reports (Crashlytics), performance monitoring, cloud functions
- •TMDB API – movie and TV show information only (no user data is sent to TMDB)
- •RevenueCat – subscription management (uses only an anonymous user ID, no personal data)
- •Expo – push notifications (device push token only)
- •Apple – Sign in with Apple (authentication only)
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Legal Obligations
Data may be shared with authorities only when required by law or for public safety.
7.DATA SECURITY
- ✓All data transmission is encrypted with SSL/TLS
- ✓Passwords are securely hashed (Firebase Authentication)
- ✓Data is stored in Google Firebase's secure cloud infrastructure
- ✓Technical and administrative measures are in place against unauthorized access
In the event of a data breach, affected users will be notified within legal timeframes.
8.DATA RETENTION & DELETION
- •Your data is retained only while your account is active
- •Upon account deletion request, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- •Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app: Settings > Delete Account. All your data will be permanently removed.
9.COOKIES & SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
WatchRadar is a mobile application and does not use web cookies or web-based tracking technologies. Firebase SDKs may use local device storage for authentication and performance purposes only.
No advertising or tracking preferences need to be managed, as we do not use any advertising or tracking technologies.
10.INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
Your data may be processed on Google Firebase servers located outside your country. All transfers are made in compliance with GDPR, KVKK (Turkish Data Protection Law), and applicable international data protection standards.
11.CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
WatchRadar is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
12.YOUR RIGHTS
Under GDPR, KVKK, and applicable privacy laws, you have the following rights:

- •Right to object to data processing

13.CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
